Only white colored thread was used for the tiger's body, and the characteristic striped pattern and dynamic figure were drawn using embroidery needles.
The tiger pattern is a classic and classic Skajan design, but the high level of embroidery makes it clear that it was a masterpiece created by top-class craftsmen even at the time.
The reversible side also effectively uses white thread to create a landscape pattern reminiscent of a winter landscape covered in snow.
By depicting mountain scenery such as a five-storied pagoda, Taikobashi, pine trees, and waterfalls using as few colors as possible, the composition has been calculated to make the white and red embroidery stand out against the aged navy body.
