In "Adventure Mode," players control a beginner golfer named Mii and compete against Mario characters to improve their skills. Players can level up with experience points earned through practice and matches, and allocate points to their preferred stats to improve their own abilities. Of course, Miis trained in Adventure Mode can also be used in battles. In addition to button controls, this game also allows players to use "swing controls" to swing the Joy-Con like a golf club to take shots, and supports local and internet battles for up to four players.
