Founded in 1956 by Matsutaro Tajima in Koto-ku, Tokyo, as a glass tableware manufacturing factory, Tajima Glass Co., Ltd. established its own factory in Matsue, Edogawa-ku in 1962. Since then, for half a century, it has continued to carefully handcraft glass products that keep pace with the times, using skilled artisans, starting with commercial-use tumblers and wine glasses.
Awarded the Grand Prix and the Commissioner of the Japan Tourism Agency Award at the 2015 Souvenir Grand Prix. Its enduring popularity since 2015 stems from its high level of craftsmanship. Beautiful, handcrafted work that makes you want to use it for a lifetime. The Mount Fuji at the bottom of the glass is a testament to the skill of Edo glass artisans, achieved through hand-blowing.
