Magnum Potos President/Christina De Middel is studying the ambiguous relationship between photography and truth. De Middel was born in Spain and is based between Mexico and Brazil. He was nominated for Magnum in 2017 and became Chairman of Magnum Potos in 2022.

Magnum Photos is a group of photographers that document events, people, places, everyday life, and culture around the world. Since its establishment in 1947, they have been linked to uncompromising values of excellence, truth, respect, and independence, and have been sharing stories of the past, defining the present, and depicting the future through photography for over 75 years.
“I often use symbolism in my work, and I used a combination of fists and doves to express “the right to peace” and “the significance of fighting for peace.” This picture seems to symbolize the streets of Salvador de Bahia, which are always covered with beautiful clouds. '
