Product Introduction
This is a plastic model of Fine Mold's "1/35 Imperial Japanese Army Type 3 Gun Tank Honi 3 with Plastic Interior and Track Set."
The interior parts of the vehicle have been added to the Type 3 Gun Tank, and the tracks have also been changed to plastic assembly type.
The additional parts reproduce the bottom of the vehicle, the steering lever, and the reduction gear.
Also reproduced are two vehicle-mounted heavy machine guns (one of which is only around the engine) and a vehicle radio.
In addition, a partially connected plastic track that was well received in a separate kit is included.
About the actual vehicle
The Type 3 Gun Tank Honi 3 was planned in 1943 as a vehicle with anti-tank combat capabilities that could counter powerful enemy tanks.
It has a fixed, fully protected fighting compartment on the chassis of a Type 97 medium tank, and is equipped with a Type 3 7.5 cm (7.5 cm) tank gun.
It was expected to be a vehicle that could destroy the American M4 tank from the front at a distance of 600m.
