Based on the rare pigment "lapis lazuli" that can be refined from raw stones,
the world view draws the viewer into a mysterious world.
The mysterious phenomenon of "dreams" has fascinated me since I was a child.
Drawing = dreaming
This is one of my production themes.
Based on the idea that "the act of drawing is the same as the phenomenon of dreaming",
I depict strange stories and scenes that appear in them.
I paint as if picking up and connecting various fragments of memories that spill out, like a landscape I don't remember seeing or an indescribable feeling from some time ago, or a hidden, formless desire that suddenly appears in a dream.
At other times, I sprinkle incoherent elements on the canvas to create a strange and irrational scene like a dream.
People assume that there must be something there,
and let their imaginations run wild trying to connect the dots.
Like dream interpretation, finding meaning in a meaningless dream.
A "painting" is a "mirror" that reflects oneself.
What do you see there?
By reflecting your own image in the mirror,
the next dream begins. (From the prologue)
