The Carrera GT is Porsche's super sports car, unveiled at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show. Carbon fiber is used extensively in the monocoque, rear subframe, and even the body panels, achieving high rigidity and lightweight design. The mid-engine, longitudinally mounted engine is based on a V10 unit developed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Its 5.7-liter displacement produces a maximum output of 612 horsepower. Other features include a small-diameter, ultra-lightweight multi-plate ceramic clutch, a pushrod-type four-wheel double wishbone suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, and an underpanel and diffuser that generate effective downforce. Delivering not only high performance but also exceptional practicality, 1,270 Carrera GTs were produced by 2006 and delivered to fortunate owners around the world. ●The pushrod-type front and rear suspension move in conjunction with the dampers.
●The distinctive rear engine hood mesh is made from etched parts. ●The black painted undercover, front trunk, and suspension arms are made of high-strength die-cast.
●The left and right doors, front hood, and engine hood can be opened and closed. Built-in magnets ensure reliable opening and closing.
●The rear wing pops up when you press the rear license plate. Built-in rotary dampers operate smoothly.
