This is a plastic assembly kit of the Skyraider, the U.S. Navy's last reciprocating engine carrier-based attack aircraft, which flew on the front lines for approximately 30 years from 1946 and played an active role in ground attacks and rescue helicopter escort during the Vietnam War.
This model recreates the A-1H, the most widely produced aircraft in the series.
The aircraft's distinctive, voluminous style has been faithfully reproduced, including its thick, muscular fuselage and engine cowling housing its powerful 2,800 horsepower engine.
The engine cowl flaps, front shutters, wing flaps, and large dive brakes on the sides and underside of the fuselage can be displayed open or closed.
Armament parts, including 250-pound bombs and 5-inch rockets, add even more impact to the massive aircraft.
Includes one pilot figure and three decal options.
