From
This simulation game is based on the hit robot anime "Mobile Suit Gundam." Players take on the role of either General Revil of the Federation or Commander-in-Chief of the Zeon forces, developing and producing weapons (mobile suits) like the Gundam and Zaku in order to win the One Year War, the setting of the original story. The goal is to expand your forces by advancing (deploying) them to key locations in space, Earth, and colonies, ultimately gaining control of the war.
The greatest appeal of this game is the thrill of strategic planning, as you constantly monitor the vast battlefield and craft the appropriate strategy. Depending on how the game unfolds, you can create alternate "what if" stories that differ from the original, such as winning the Zeon forces' victory after losing the One Year War or using characters (pilots) who were supposed to die. This is truly a must-have for Gundam fans. Other new features include the "Delegation System," which allows players to delegate actions to subordinates; "Subordinate Proposals," which allow subordinates to propose weapon development and production; and "Weapon Improvements," which allow players to improve weapons currently in operation. The "Delegation System" in particular allows players to use subordinates to capture multiple points simultaneously, enabling advanced strategies unique to multiple players.
Other new features include an "Original Edition," in which players can choose one of the characters to be their commander-in-chief and progress through the game. With these new features and a refined gameplay, it's safe to say that Gundam fans will enjoy this title for the rest of their lives. (Nomura Kazuma)
