The Lord of the Rings: Duels: The Battle of Middle-earth is a two-player board game themed around the battles and adventures surrounding the One Ring.
Based on the successful draft system from Wonders: Duels, it beautifully recreates the world of The Lord of the Rings by adding new mechanics.
In The Lord of the Rings: Duels: The Battle of Middle-earth, you must choose one of the forces that will control the fate of Middle-earth.
Players play across three consecutive chapters that unfold like the story.
During their turn, players acquire available cards from a set of cards to improve their skills, accumulate treasure, expand their influence throughout Middle-earth, rally people to their cause, and advance or pursue the One Ring.
A player wins the game immediately when they complete the journey or pursue the One Ring, gather the support of all six races, or conquer all seven regions of Middle-earth.
Will you protect the free peoples as the Fellowship of the Ring and destroy the One Ring?
Or will you take on Sauron and his forces, deploying hordes at the gates of enemy cities and pursuing Frodo and Sam?
The fate of Middle-earth lies in your hands!
