Brand Introduction
Hamilton, established in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is a renowned watch company. It gained fame for its first pocket watch, the 'Broadway Limited', providing accurate train times. In 1914, Hamilton was selected as the official timepiece supplier for the U.S. Army Air Service and began offering timing services for ski events and the U.S. Postal Service in 1919. Throughout the 1930s, it became the official watch for several airlines, and during World War II, produced nearly one million military watches, suspending public sales temporarily. In 1970, Hamilton introduced the world's first digital watch, 'Pulsure', and was acquired by the SSIH group in 1977. In 1983, Hamilton became part of the Swatch Group, solidifying its place in the watchmaking industry.
