Product Introduction
This product contains a high concentration of mulberry leaves, boasting an optimal nutritional balance for herbivorous reptiles, including tortoises. We've also added molokheiya and komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) to minimize the grain content. It's also ideal for iguanas and thorny uromata.
In addition to fiber-rich mulberry leaves, it also contains pea fiber and apple pomace fiber, providing dietary fiber similar to that of wild plants.
Water intake is so important that low intake can contribute to the formation of urinary stones. This product absorbs and retains a large amount of water, providing a sponge-like texture that won't stick to reptiles' mouths and is easy to eat.
It contains low protein, high fiber, and high calcium (the calcium:phosphorus ratio is designed to be 5:1, ideal for tortoises). After absorbing water, the protein content drops to the same low level as vegetables.
Diurnal reptiles have excellent color recognition, which affects their palatability. However, this product uses the color and flavor of the ingredients themselves without the use of artificial colorings, enhancing palatability.
Herbivorous reptiles have long intestines that take time to digest food. "Hikari Bacteria" maintain a healthy intestinal environment and are present in feces alive, suppressing odor.
