The "Mieyasu-kun" LED backup lamp for Jimny uses the same mounting part and coupler size as the factory model, so installation is possible without any modifications. "All the backup lamps currently available for Jimnys are dim and inconvenient..." In response to this user feedback, the "Mieyasu-kun LED Backup Lamp" was developed with the aim of creating a bright, waterproof product. Typically, LED light is linear and lacks a wide beam. Instead of pointing the LED directly at the rear, the LED light is first directed toward the inner housing, creating a "broad" beam that illuminates a wide area. This method is increasingly being adopted in factory taillights and parking lamps, and is gaining attention as a way to brighten surroundings with less light. The LEDs used are high-quality SMDs. SMD stands for "chip-type LED light-emitting element." While conventional LEDs are small, round bulb-shaped, SMDs are thin, small, and chip-shaped. This backup lamp uses SMD-modified LEDs.
Since it is the same size as the original backup lamp, it can be easily installed without any modifications.
This LED backup lamp shines LED light into the inner housing, illuminating the rear of the vehicle "brighter" and "wider" than the original.
The body (black) and lens are sealed together, making it highly resistant to water leakage from the outside.
