To note: Vertical pole may be shaky in the middle, but the 2 rubber stoppers hold the entire pole firmly in place, and will NOT fall over or collapse.

If height required is 2+m, you can just use 2 pole parts = metal knob pole + medium length pole.

You will have 1 shortest pole part leftover (spare part, no need to use)

Assemble in this sequence shown to be able to reach 3.1m (max height)

Adjust the length using the metal knob.

Please note that end (1) is the SMALLER side of the pole. (If you install this wrongly, the length is eaten up and you end up with 2.7+m at most, which is not how you use the item.)

Assembly of vertical pole parts (for usual HDB heights of approx 2+m):

1. Use the 2 pole parts (1 with metal knob, the other is medium length). Leave the shortest pole part unused.

2. Fix the 2 pole parts together. Put in the rubber ends on both ends.

3. Adjust the pole using the metal knob. Adjust to a height just slightly higher than your floor to ceiling height.

4. Push the smaller end of the pole with metal knob against ceiling. There is an internal spring, so the pole will be compressed slightly.

5. Push the other end against your floor. Release your push on the pole.

6. The spring will bounce back in place, and hold the vertical pole firmly in place.
