Two Thread Taps:
Thread Size: 1/2-28 UNEF (Right-Hand); Square Shank Width: 7mm / 0.28"; Thread Length: 30mm / 1.18";
Total Length: 88mm / 3.46"; Precision: 2B
One Round Die:
Thread Size: 1/2-28 UNEF (Right-Hand); Outer Diameter: 38mm / 1.5", Thickness: 10mm / 0.39"
Description:
6542 high-speed steel taps offer high hardness, good durability, wear resistance, and excellent cutting performance. 9SiCr alloy tool steel dies offer excellent hardness, durability, and wear resistance for durability.
Tap and die sets can accurately cut, repair, or clean threads. Straight flute taps pass through holes and shallow blind holes, removing chips downward. Round dies are suitable for threading rods, bolts, screws, pipes, shafts, etc., and can also remove bolts and threaded rods. Widely used for most metals, including iron, copper, zinc, alloy steel, polished steel, and stainless steel.
Taps and dies have clear, burr-free threads and are right-handed tapping. Thread dies feature a conical locking hole for strong locking force and prevent loosening. Uncoated tools have only a base plate and are suitable for a wide range of applications.
Dies Use with a stock wrench (sold separately). Insert the central clamping screw of the wrench into the die slot and tighten. Machine taps are used with drill presses, tapping machines, CNC machines, and milling machines. Use appropriate cutting lubricants or oils for better thread quality and durable taps and dies.
Tip: Control the speed according to the hardness of the material. The harder the material, the slower the speed. Apply force evenly when tapping. First, drill the hole with a twist drill bit, then tap with the thread tap. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable.
