Bruce Lee, who rose to action stardom with "Enter the Dragon," stars in this second film, following on from the previous one. Set in Shanghai, China in the early 20th century, the members of a Japanese martial arts dojo, under the protection of the Imperial Japanese Army, are behaving recklessly. One day, the director of a rival Chinese martial arts center dies mysteriously, sparking a Japanese plot to take over the dojo.
Upon hearing of his mentor's death, his beloved disciple Chen returns home in a hurry. While investigating the cause of his death, he uncovers evidence of a poisoning orchestrated by the Japanese dojo. He then goes alone to avenge his master. His signature action scenes, including roaring nunchucks and eerie bird sounds, are on full display. His kissing scene with Nora Miao and the final scene in which he leaps into a line of bullets generated much buzz. This masterpiece encapsulates the allure of Bruce Lee, the superstar of the century.
