This product is a kit requiring adhesive assembly.
The parts are molded in a color that mimics the gray of the destroyer, and additional paint can be applied for a more realistic look.
The 1/70 scale makes this a visually appealing and easy-to-collect series.
This gun was developed to be lighter and more rapid-firing than the Mk. 42 127mm single-barrel rapid-fire gun previously used by the U.S. Navy. The interior of the turret is completely unmanned, and with mechanical loading, it has a firing rate of 45 rounds per minute.
This allows for not only anti-ship and anti-ground fire, but also anti-aircraft fire.
It is deployed on the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's Kongo-class and Takanami-class destroyers.
Currently, the gun has been upgraded with a longer barrel (62 caliber) and a new shield designed for stealth.
●This product is based on the 127mm rapid-fire gun mounted on the Kongo-class destroyers.
・The gun barrel can be elevated and depressed even after completion, and can be aimed at an elevation angle of up to 85 degrees, just like the real thing.
・The turret can be rotated even after completion.
・Consists of one rapid-fire gun and a display base.
・The rapid-fire gun is painted in a special plastic color that mimics the destroyer's outer hull color (N5), while the base mimics the deck color (N4).
●It's palm-sized and looks great.
・The ladders and handrails for entering and exiting the hatches on both sides are made of separate plastic parts.
・The cartridge case receiver moves below the gun in conjunction with the elevation and depression of the gun.
・Details such as the receiver when the hatch is open and the cartridge case ejection port have been accurately sculpted.
・The brake at the end of the barrel is expressed with a recessed engraving. The muzzle is recreated using a slide mold.
A separate part for the barrel tip with the cover attached is included. The anchor and cherry blossom emblem are delicately sculpted.
The turret is made of three pieces: left, right, and top, minimizing the number of pieces while still accurately recreating the shape.
The hanging hardware on the exterior of the turret is a separate part, enhancing the sense of precision.
Includes parts for displaying shells and cartridges, which can be seen during ship exhibitions and public displays.
Molded parts come in two colors.
