Product Introduction BILLION OILS FF-315 is a sports transmission oil specifically designed for front-wheel drive (FF) open differentials, perfectly suited to front-wheel drive vehicle owners who want to enjoy sporty driving on circuits and winding roads using their factory open differentials. The primary reason for developing this oil was the fact that most front-wheel drive transmission oils designed for reliable use in high-temperature, high-load driving situations are designed for limited-slip differentials (LSDs). However, the requirements for transmission oils used in mechanical LSDs and open differentials differ in some respects. First, for gear/synchronization protection and synchronization, both mechanical LSDs and open differentials require transmission oil with excellent extreme-pressure and wear resistance, as well as the ability to maintain a strong oil film under all conditions. However, Group 2 friction modifiers, which are added to provide lubrication between LSD discs and are a key factor in mechanical LSD oils and a significant factor in cost, are not necessary for open differentials, which do not have discs. Therefore, BILLION OILS FF-315 eliminates the expensive Group 2 friction modifiers used with mechanical LSD discs. Instead, we've focused our base oil and additives on providing the lubrication needed for the pinion gear and protecting the gears and synchronizers in the transmission—the two areas most important for open differentials. Naturally, the oil is infused with technology that prevents significant changes in viscosity even with temperature changes, ensuring a smooth, precise shift feel even during high-temperature, high-load sports driving, and even immediately after engine start-up when the transmission oil temperature is low.
