Since its release in Germany in the fall of 2007, Agricola has swept game awards around the world, captivating gamers worldwide and setting a new standard for board games.
This product is a family-friendly version of Agricola.
Agricola is Latin for "peasant."
The setting is 17th century Europe. Players become farmers, collecting materials to build a house, increasing their family size,
plowing and harvesting fields, creating pastures and raising livestock, and making their farms prosperous.
In this game, each player creates their own farm.
At the start of the game, the farm consists of a small, two-room wooden house where a family (a farmer couple) lives.
By adding rooms, the family can be expanded.
The more family members there are on the farm, the more actions become available.
However, when the harvest comes, players must provide food for their families.
To do this, you'll need to farm and raise livestock to secure enough food.
Progress tiles are useful for this, but you need to be careful as there are a limited number of them.
After 14 rounds, the player who has successfully developed their farm and earned the most points will be the winner.
This "Family Version" retains the basic system of the original "Agricola," but
does not use progress or occupation cards. Instead, it uses tiles and a dedicated game board, allowing for a speedy gameplay.
The wooden resource pieces, animal pieces, and family pieces are all sculpted pieces, making for a visually appealing game.
*This product is not an expansion set for "Agricola: Revised Edition." It can be played on its own.
