Its low 7x magnification provides a wide field of view, making it easy to find the celestial object you're looking for. Simply align the object with the built-in scale (crosshairs) to find it in the telescope's field of view. [Excellent visibility even in dark skies! Includes dark field illumination] The scale (crosshairs) has built-in dark field illumination (red LED), so you won't lose sight of the scale even on dark nights. The illumination brightness is adjustable, so you can use it at your preferred brightness. The open center of the crosshairs prevents stars from overlapping the lines and becoming obscured, allowing you to accurately center the star. [Detachable eyepiece unit (31.7mm)*1] The eyepiece is a removable plug-in type (31.7mm diameter), allowing you to attach a 31.7mm plug-in CMOS camera (commercially available)*2 and use it as a guide scope. *3 *1 Even if you remove the eyepiece unit (eyepiece with crosshair scale) and attach a separately sold 31.7mm diameter eyepiece, the focus will not be correct, so separately sold eyepieces cannot be used. *2 As a guideline, compatibility with CMOS cameras is limited to models with a distance from the bottom end of the 31.7mm sleeve on the camera (the narrow part where the thickness changes) to the sensor surface (the opposite side of the sleeve) of approximately 17mm. Focusing may vary depending on the camera you use, so please adjust the CMOS camera installation method and viewfinder focus accordingly. Please also read the viewfinder instruction manual and the CMOS camera manual you are using. (If you adjust the focus of the finder (i.e., move the focal position of the objective lens), you will need to readjust the focus position when using the eyepiece unit.) *3 When using it as a guide scope, it is more fixed, so We recommend using it in conjunction with the 50mm finder leg S (sold separately).
