The third installment in the popular sci-fi action series. After witnessing the death of his mother, Sarah, and the world averting its destruction on Judgment Day, John Connor (Nick Stahl) has grown up and is living a meager life, avoiding contact with the outside world as much as possible. However, two Terminators appear once again. For some reason, the female T-X targets not John, but his classmate, Kate (Claire Danes), and other people. The T-850 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) then warns John that "Judgment Day will surely come if it is delayed any longer." The directorial baton has been passed from James Cameron to Jonathan Mostow, whose characteristically tenacious direction has beautifully constructed a dynamic drama. Mostow, who was a fan of the series, is also keen to maintain the simple feel of the first film. The unexpected ending, which will shock fans of the previous films, also suggests that the first chapter of the series has concluded and that new developments are on the way.
