Founded in 1889 in Detroit, Michigan, one of America's leading industrial areas, Carhartt was established by Hamilton Carhartt. Carhartt, who had previously run a furniture wholesale business, decided to create the highest quality workwear for laborers, starting with a small team of employees and producing duck canvas overalls. With robust construction featuring triple stitching and copper rivets, along with functional features like hammer loops and tool pockets, the company gradually expanded its market share. In the 1900s, they increased their product range to include shirts, pants, shoes, and hunting wear. Later, in the mid-1900s, with the familiar "C" logo, Carhartt established itself as a leading workwear brand. In the 1990s, it gained immense popularity as streetwear, thanks to its popularity among musicians. The duck canvas workwear created at the company's founding remains a flagship product, beloved worldwide.
These B11 painter pants are made from Carhartt's classic 12oz cotton duck fabric. The panel seams are securely sewn with triple stitching. Other parts are also double-stitched, and areas subject to stress are reinforced with bar tacks. In addition to painter details such as side tool pockets and a hammer loop, a leather name patch on the hip pocket adds an accent. The pants have been washed, giving them a worn-in look from the start, but the fabric is prone to developing patina, so you can enjoy creating your own unique aging process as you wear them.
