Vixen Polarie U Polar Axis Telescope Set 35495 PF-LII

This set includes the PF-LII polar axis telescope and the PU polar axis arm. It's ideal for situations requiring high-precision polar axis alignment, such as when using telephoto lenses for astrophotography. By aligning Polaris and two nearby stars (a total of three stars) to the designated positions on the built-in scale, you can easily align the polar axis with an accuracy of within 3 arcminutes. (For the Northern Hemisphere. For the Southern Hemisphere, similarly, align using three stars in the constellation Octans.) The built-in scale integrates the positional information of the stars for polar alignment, eliminating the need to read the hour angle scale on the outside of the polar scope in dark observation sites, as was the case with conventional polar scopes. You can use the polar scope comfortably while looking through its field of view. It has a built-in darkfield illumination (red LED) that can be easily turned on with the touch of a button. Unlike brightfield illumination, which makes the scale appear as a silhouette by brightening the field of view, the scale itself glows red, so faint stars will not be lost in the background and become invisible. The brightness is adjustable in 8 steps, so you can use it at your preferred brightness. Furthermore, it automatically shuts off after 1-2 minutes (gradually dimming), preventing you from forgetting to turn it off after use. The included polar axis telescope arm PU is equipped with two 3/8-inch spare screw holes. If you do not use the 1/4-3/8-inch conversion screw included with the Polarie U, you can screw it in here for storage, which helps prevent loss.
