Avifly Expandable PET Braided Cable Sleeving
The offer applies to 1 meter of black Avifly Expandable PET Braided Cable Sleeving. Purchasing multiple units means shipping one longer, continuous piece.
The braid is used to organize and mechanically protect wires, cables, and entire bundles. The braided construction increases its diameter when the braid is shortened, making it easier to pull it through connectors and fit into harnesses of different cross-sections.
• Nominal Diameter: 3 mm
• Nominal Diameter: 6 mm
• Nominal Diameter: 10 mm
• Nominal Diameter: 12 mm
Who is this braid for?
• For organizing cables in electronic devices, computers and workshop installations
• For creating aesthetically pleasing cable harnesses in RC, FPV and consumer electronics projects
• For reducing direct friction of cable insulation on housings and structural elements
Who is it NOT for?
• Does not replace proper electrical insulation of the cable
• No It is a heat-shrinkable sleeve and does not shrink under the influence of temperature.
• It cannot be placed on the side of a ready-made bundle - the wires must be pulled through the center of the braid.
• It does not provide tight protection against water and moisture.
• Expandable braid. - adjusts the diameter to the bundle of wires and facilitates routing through larger connectors.
• PET material. - light and flexible construction designed for cable protection.
• Mechanical protection. - reduces the risk of abrasion to the outer insulation of the wires.
• Organizes the installation. - allows you to combine several wires into one organized bundle.
• Black color. - neutral finish suitable for electronics, computers, and technical installations.
• Cutting possible. - the length can be adjusted to a specific installation.
1. Choosing the braid diameter to the diameter of the bundle and the largest connector through which it must be passed.
2. Compress the braid lengthwise to increase its diameter.
3. Insert the wires or connector into the braid.
4. Stretch the braid along the bundle to reduce its diameter and fit the wires.
5. Secure the ends with heat shrink tubing, a cable tie, or other fastener.

Frequently asked questions
Can the braid be put on a cable with a fitted plug?
Yes, provided that the braid passes through the plug after expansion. The cable and connector should be pulled through the center of the braid.
Is the braid diameter constant?
No. The braid increases in diameter when compressed longitudinally and reduces it when stretched. The nominal size should be selected based on the bundle diameter and connector dimensions.
Will multiple purchased items be shipped in one continuous length?
Yes. Subject to stock availability, purchasing multiple items means shipping one continuous length, for example, 5 items as 5 meters.
Avifly expert tip: PET braiding is best cut with a thermal cutter. Melting the fiber ends reduces fraying, and the heat shrink tubing helps permanently secure the bundle end.
