Commemorative release for their Japan tour! Whitesnake's latest live recording, released just before their May 2013 Japan tour!! David Coverdale's roar resonates from the passionate night at 'LOUD PARK 11' in 2011! The hard rock classics played by this talented lineup are now eternal!! [Japan Pre-release]
This latest release features the complete live performance from the 'LOUD PARK 11' festival held at Saitama Super Arena on October 15, 2011, in front of 20,000 spectators. David Coverdale's passionate vocals, a message of support for Japan, resonate throughout!
With David at the center, guitarists Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach, possessing both technique and style, showcase their masterful skills. The formidable lineup of Brian Tichy (drums), Michael Devin (bass), and Brian Rudy (keyboards) is one of the most talented in the band's history.
This live performance was part of the world tour supporting their latest album, *Forevermore*. From their early bluesy hard rock to the heavy metallic sound reminiscent of *Whitesnake Emblem* (1987), they captivated the large audience with a powerful live performance.
The show, which began with "Best Years," featured a selection of their best songs, both old and new. Whitesnake delivered a string of classics, including hits from their album *Whitesnake Emblem* such as "Still of the Night," "Is This Love," "Here I Go Again," and "Give Me All Your Love Tonight," as well as early signature tracks like "Fool for Your Loving" and "Love Ain't No Stranger," dedicated to former member Mel Galley, who passed away in 2008. They also played "Steal Your Heart Away," "Love Will Set You Free," and "Forevermore" from their latest album, *Forevermore*. These tracks from the album, widely considered their best work in recent years, were even more powerful on stage, met with thunderous applause and singalongs.
Among the diverse artists performing at this festival, including Limp Bizkit, Arch Enemy, and The Darkness, Whitesnake appeared as a veteran band of classic hard rock. Deep Purple visited Japan in 1975, and the band first came to Japan in 1980, but this is their first festival appearance since the legendary "Super Rock '84" in 1984. Their stage performance, where the band and audience united to create an incredible surge of energy, was the highlight of the entire festival. With multi-camera footage and 5.1ch sound, this release transports viewers to the heart of the arena.
As a bonus, the video includes a photo slideshow and a fan video compiled from footage provided by fans. With a Japan tour scheduled for May 2013, and this release coinciding with their upcoming Japan tour, Whitesnake continues their dominant run. A visual spectacle worthy of the Year of the Snake, 2013, is about to begin.
