Tatsuro Yamashita himself has remastered the best album ``GREATEST HITS OF TATSURO YAMASHITA'' (released in 1982), which is a selection of songs from 6 albums from his time with the RCA/AIR label. This is his first best album with additional songs, and he comments, ``We were finally able to release it in a proper way.'' In addition to hit songs such as <1>, which was released as a single in 2002 after 20 years (the theme song for the Fuji TV drama ``Long Love Letter~Drifting Classroom''), an up tune co-starring Shuichi Murakami and Haruomi Hosono <13>, and a ballad number expressing feelings for a beloved lover <11>, rare versions that can only be heard in this work are also included.
