Bridle leather
The white lines and white powder on the surface that are unique to bridle leather products are wax that has appeared on the surface.
The wax can be removed by wiping with a soft cloth or brushing.
Since this is a natural leather product, there may be some wrinkles, scratches, and uneven color.
WhitehouseCox
Over its long history spanning more than 100 years, White House Cox has prospered since its founding as a manufacturer of luxury horse tack that meets the demands of aristocrats, producing high-quality horse tack such as riding saddles and reins.
After World War I, with the spread of automobiles, demand for horse tack plummeted, so the company also began manufacturing various military items such as belts and gun cases for the British Army.
A major transformation came in the 1930s. First, they produced pet collars. Then, in response to demand from the British upper class at the time, they expanded their product line to include small leather goods such as cufflink cases, collar boxes, and shaving kits, as well as fashionable items such as travel bags and luggage.
The late 1970s saw another major turning point for Whitehouse Cox.
Until then, department stores and specialty shops in the UK had been the main market, but by chance, New York designer Ralph Lauren saw a dog collar made from bridle leather and a carefully hand-woven mesh lead in the pet supplies section of the luxury department store Harrods. He then asked the company to create a belt for humans based on the bridle leather dog collars and carefully hand-woven mesh leads, which he commercialized under the Polo brand and later became a huge hit.
After that, buyers and designers from all over the world who had heard about the brand began to place numerous orders, and the market expanded beyond the UK to the rest of the world.
Next, it was the beautiful mesh belt that made the name of White House Cox famous.
The pieces feature reproductions of horse reins that he once made and ropes used on sailing ships in the early 1900s.
Even today, the same craftsmanship as in the days of saddlery manufacturing, which goes beyond just the appearance of the design, is carried on in all of our products.
Since we share inventory data with other stores, there may be rare cases where an item is sold out or on backorder.
