DC voltage measurement Note: Do not perform measurement at the moment when the power is turned on or off, as the high voltage may damage the meter. 1. Set the function switch to the VDC position. 2. Insert the black test plug into the COM jack; insert the red test plug into the positive jack. 3. Touch the tip of the black test to the negative pole of the circuit; touch the tip of the red test to the positive pole of the circuit. 4. Read the voltage on the display. 2. Measurement of AC voltage (frequency, duty cycle) Warning: Risk of electric shock. The tip of the probe may not be long enough to reach the live parts in the 240V socket of some devices because the contacts are recessed deep into the socket. When there is actually voltage on the socket, the reading may show 0 volts. Assuming there is no voltage, make sure that the tip of the probe touches the metal contacts in the socket. Note: If the motor on the circuit is turning on or off, do not measure AC voltage. Large electrical pain may occur, which may damage the meter. 1. Set the function switch to the V Hz percent VFD position and indicate AC on the display. Alternating current 2. Insert the black test plug into the COM jack; insert the red test plug into the positive jack. 3. Touch the tip of the black test to the negative pole of the circuit; touch the tip of the red test to the positive pole of the circuit. 4. Read the voltage on the display. 5. Press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds, VFD will be indicated on the display. 6. Read the VFD value on the display. 7. To exit the VFD mode, press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds. 8. Press the Hz percent button to indicate Hz . 9. Read the frequency on the display. 10. Press the Hz percent button again to indicate percent . 11. Read the percentage of duty cycle on the display. 3. mV voltage measurement Note: Do not perform measurement at the moment when the power is turned on or off, as high voltage may damage the meter. 1. Set the function switch to the m Hz percent position. 2. Press the MODE button to indicate DC or AC . 3. Insert the black test plug into the COM jack; insert the red test plug into the positive jack. 4. Touch the tip of the black test to the negative pole of the circuit; touch the tip of the red test to the positive pole of the circuit. 5. Read the mV voltage on the display. 6. Press the Hz percent button to indicate Hz . 7. Read the frequency on the display. 8. Press the Hz percent button again to indicate percent . 9. Read the percentage of duty cycle on the display. 4. Low impedance measurement Low impedance voltage measurement is used to check dummy voltage. When the non power line is very close to the power line, a virtual voltage will appear. The capacitive coupling between the wires makes the unpowered wires appear to be connected to a real voltage source. The low impedance voltage measurement setting places a load on the circuit, which greatly reduces the voltage reading when connected to a dummy voltage. 1. Set the function switch to LoZ, the LCD display will display the symbols LoZ and AC . 2. Insert the black test plug into the COM jack; insert the red test plug into the positive jack. 3. Touch the tip of the black test to the negative pole of the circuit; touch the tip of the red test to the positive pole of the circuit. 4. Read the voltage on the display. Package List: 1 x Multimeter(battery not included)2 x Test 2 x Jack Protective Sleeve1 x Manual Note: Warning: Risk of electric shock. Both AC and DC high voltage circuits are very dangerous and should be measured carefully.1. When the meter is not in use, always turn the function switch to the OFF position. The meter has an automatic shutdown function. After 15 minutes of inactivity, the meter will be automatically turned off.2. If OL appears on the display during the measurement, the value is out of the range you selected, please change it to a larger range.Note: In some lower AC and DC voltage ranges, if the test s are not connected to the device, the display may show randomly changing readings. This is normal and is caused by high input sensitivity. When connected to the circuit, the reading will stabilize and provide an appropriate measurement value.
