This 1/350 scale kit recreates the Japanese Navy Destroyer Akizuki in 1944.
Includes metal gun barrels, etched parts, paint mask stickers, and a "Japanese Navy Destroyer Akizuki" nameplate.
The Akizuki was the lead ship of the Japanese Navy's Akizuki-class first-class destroyers.
Developed as an air defense destroyer with excellent anti-aircraft capabilities, the ship was completed in June 1942 and played a key role in fleet air defense during the latter half of the Pacific War.
Frequently serving as the flagship of the torpedo squadron during the Battle of the Solomon Islands, the Akizuki participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944 and was sunk in action in the Battle of Cape Engano on October 25th.
This is a resin kit that requires assembly and painting.
